whip up some tasty meals at last week's cooking demonstration. As part of World Mental Health Day and Mental Health Week Kirstin from Home-Start gave
everyone a cooking demonstration using food available to Food Hall clients. "Cooking for your family doesn't have to
be a big affair and healthy eating really does have a big impact on your
mental health," she said. "By using ingredients you can get right here at the Food Hall, it's
possible to make healthy, affordable meals for your family." The
5th Annual Canowindra Community Reading Day provided fun
opportunities for children, parents, grandparents and community members to come
together to learn and practice ideas and strategies to help children on the
road to lifelong literacy. The day was held at Canowindra RSL Hall and Memorial Park,from 10am and finished with a Sausage Sizzle and fruit around 12 noon. Activities planned for the day included book readings, storytelling, face painting, music activities, art activities and prizes. Also gives parents, grandparents, carers and community members ideas & activities to help kids develop their literacy skills. Volunteers needed to help with organising prior to the day, and at the event on the day Cowra Aquaerobics We provide childcare and support to mums whilst participating in Aquaerobics. Volunteers needed to help with child care.
